Mechanical Designer

PowerBuilt is an industry in the design and implementation of custom material handling equipment. Our clients include many of the largest auto manufacturers in North America. We are seeking a highly-qualified designer to assist in the design of custom equipment to meet our client’s needs. In this role, you will assist in the design of assigned projects from start-to-finish, meeting customer specifications, maintaining budget, and adhering to project schedules.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Extensive mechanical design in SolidWorks including:

o   Machined parts

o   Weldments

o   Sheet metal

o   Assemblies

o   Assembly drawings

o   Part details

o   BOM generation

  • Pneumatic schematic and layout designs in AutoCad and SolidWorks

  • Pneumatic testing and troubleshooting

  • Generation of project schedules

  • Conduct design reviews with customer

  • Assist in shop builds, testing, and installation, and startup support of equipment

  • Travel for installation and startup support (less than 10%)

Qualifications and skills required:

  • 2 year or associates degree in engineering or engineering technology with 1 year experience or 4 year bachelor degree in mechanical engineering with no experience

  • Proficient in 3D design (SolidWorks preferred), AutoCad, and Microsoft office, PDM a plus

  • Demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communication

  • Team player, with creative problem-solving skills

CNC Machinist

Job responsibilities will include conversational programming, cutting raw materials to length, developing fixtures for repetitive parts, verifying part tolerances and quality, and the ability to work in a job shop environment. Mechanical Technician

PowerBuilt is seeking a quality Mechanical Technician to join our growing team. Job responsibilities include assembly bolt together equipment, build and troubleshoot pneumatic controls packages and complete testing a debug of custom equipment.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in similar field of work

Electrical Controls Engineering Manager

The design process produces a solution based on understanding the customer’s business and our experience in working with similar applications. Our analysis of the operational data allows us to produce a forecast in line with the customer’s stated objectives. This allows our design engineers to develop solutions specifically fitting the project requirements. Implementation follows the design phase and includes the build process of the chosen components. PowerBuilt offers a full turn-key solution. Upon receipt of an order, a project manager will be assigned to execute the project from concept through start-up.

Requirements:

  • Willingness and desire to start up a new department within an established company

  • 5+ years of professional experience within manufacturing

  • Experience working in a “job shop” environment

  • Bachelor’s degree within electrical engineering discipline

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Competent with Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Able to Multi-task

  • Good organizational skills

  • High attention to detail

·        Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 79, UL508A)

·        Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA 1910)

Account Manager - Nashville

Position Summary:

The primary objectives of an Account Manager at PowerBuilt is to support business opportunities with both new and existing clients under the direction of the Vice President of Key Accounts and the Key Account Manager. Account Managers are responsible for educating customers as well as managing all products and services offered by PowerBuilt to an industrial client base. A successful candidate for this position must have: excellent phone and in person communication skills, professional appearance, a commitment to always service the client, a consistent drive to always improve their knowledge base and the ability to face adverse situations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management for New & Existing Clients – Operations

  • Carry out meetings & calls

  • Generate and provide quotations to customers

  • Complete project budgets for all quotes and projects

  • Manage relationships with a variety of vendors

  • Provide on-site support when required for sales calls, bid meetings and project implementation

  • Negotiate change orders as required for projects with customers and vendors

  • Project types include: Conveyor systems, Custom tools, Cranes, Lift tables, Lift assists, Ergonomic arms, Vacuum lifters, Flow racking, Custom material handling equipment, Mezzanines, Modular offices

 

Requirements:

  • Industrial experience is preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field (relevant industry experience and/or other degrees acceptable)

  • Experience working in an industrial environment preferred

  • Must be self-motivated

  • Must be able to demonstrate a sense of urgency

  • Set and meet/exceed goals

  • Must have a driving personality
