Cable air / pneumatic balancers are the most common type of balancer used. Ranging from 150 lbs capacity to 350 lbs. One important note about air balancers is the rated capacity is the balancing capacity, not the lifting. In order to calculate lift capacity, you can use the following formula: rated capacity x .80 x PSI. Example: 150 balancer x .80 x .80 (80 PSI) = 96 lbs lifting capacity.
