Chain air / pneumatic balancers are ideal for high cycle, heavyweight applications. Many customers prefer chain over cable in such applications due to product longevity and maintenance. One important note about air balancers is that the rated capacity is the balancing capacity, not the lifting. In order to calculate lift capacity, you can use the following formula: rated capacity x .80 x PSI. Example: 150 balancer x .80 x .80 (80 PSI) = 96 lbs lifting capacity.
